June snuck up on me and apparently brought a whole lot of dramas with it. Between what’s already been airing and everything lined up through July, my watchlist is in a state I can only describe as “chaos.” I’ve gone through everything premiering across K-dramas and C-dramas so you don’t have to make any hard choices blind. Here’s what’s worth your time and where to find it.
K-Dramas
Teach You a Lesson (참교육)
Genre: Action, Drama, Thriller
Episodes: 10
Cast: Kim Mu-yeol, Lee Sung-min, Jin Ki-joo, Pyo Ji-hoon
MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/778658-get-schooled
Where to Watch: Netflix
Airing Date: June 5, 2026
Based on the webtoon of the same name, this one follows the creation of a special government task force set up in response to a nationwide crisis in classroom safety. Kim Mu-yeol plays a supervisor whose methods are, to put it diplomatically, unconventional — and the drama doesn’t shy away from showing why that’s both effective and deeply uncomfortable. It’s less about the students and more about a system that’s already broken.
Notes from the Last Row (맨 끝줄 소년)
Genre: Psychological Thriller, Drama
Episodes: 6
Cast: Choi Min-sik, Choi Hyun-wook, Huh Joon-ho, Kim Yoon Jin, Jin Kyung
MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/787500-the-boy-in-the-last-row
Where to Watch: Netflix
Airing Date: June 26, 2026
A psychological drama about a literature professor, played by the veteran legend Choi Min-sik, who becomes fixated on one of his students, a backbencher who is a quietly brilliant young man played by Choi Hyun-wook. The short episode count is intentional. This is a tightly wound character study about the line between mentorship and obsession, written for people who don’t need that line spelled out.
Agent Kim Reactivated (김부장)
Genre: Action, Thriller, Mystery
Episodes: 10
Cast: So Ji Sub, Choi Dae-hoon, Yoon Kyung-ho, Joo Sang-wook, Son Na-eun
MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/756307-manager-kim
Where to Watch: Netflix
Airing Date: June 26, 2026
So Ji-Sub plays Manager Kim, who looks every bit the ordinary single father—quietly raising his teenage daughter Min-ji, working a desk job at a small savings bank. What nobody around him knows is that he’s a former North Korean special operative with a classified history of covert missions, whose very existence in South Korea is considered a national security liability. When Min-ji suddenly goes missing, he stops hiding.

Soon after they agree to divorce, Se-yun is kidnapped, and Tae-ju finds himself not only desperately searching for her but simultaneously implicated in her disappearance. He’s now both the husband trying to save his wife and the prime suspect in her kidnapping, navigating a ruthless criminal on one side and a police investigation closing in on the other.
The Apartment Job (아파트 )

MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/798918-apartment

Park HaeGang is a former gangster who needs a large sum of money fast to save the man who raised him like a father. His plan is to run for president of an apartment complex’s residents’ association and get his hands on the building’s long-term repair reserve fund. What he doesn’t account for is the layers of existing corruption already embedded in the complex, a construction company eyeing the same money, and an aspiring lawyer named Kang Ha Ri who gets pulled into the whole mess—turning what should have been a straightforward grab into something messier than he bargained for.
The East Palace (동궁)
Genre: Fantasy, Horror, Historical, Mystery
Episodes: 8
Cast: Nam Joo-hyuk, Roh Yoon-seo, Cho Seung-woo
MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/773369-donggung

Airing Date: July 17, 2026
Nam JooHyuk’s first drama post-military service and a notable genre pivot, this is a Joseon supernatural horror. He plays a ghost hunter of sorts who can move between the human world and the spirit realm, tasked by the king with investigating the crown prince’s palace where something has gone very wrong. Roh YoonSeo plays a court lady who hears the dead. They come together to uncover the secret of the palace and deal with a deadly curse.
Spooky in Love (오싹한 연애)
Genre: Horror, Comedy, Romance, Fantasy
Episodes: 12
Cast: Park Eun-bin, Yang Se-jong, Ong Seong-wu
MyDramaList: https://mydramalist.com/798802-chilling-romance
Where to Watch: Netflix
Airing Date: July 18, 2026
Park Eun-bin plays a hotel heiress who sees ghosts; Yang Se-jong plays the prosecutor investigating the murders those ghosts are attached to. The two are forced into an unlikely partnership that runs through both the case-of-the-week structure and something slower building underneath it. It’s lighter in tone than the premise might suggest — closer to a supernatural rom-com than a horror drama. Fans of supernatural rom-coms like Hotel Del Luna will find themselves at home here.

That’s everything on my radar for June and July, and honestly, even cutting it down to the titles worth your time, it’s still a lot. As always, if something’s missing or you’ve already started something I haven’t mentioned, drop it in the comments — my watchlist has no ceiling.
