Another month, another wave of BL dramas crowding our watchlists. 2026 has been a treat so far, and there’s plenty to talk about. From the supernatural crime in Nour to the fan turns celebrity chaos of Mr. Fanboy, the zombie survival of The Last Oath, and the youthful charm of Weirdo-101 & Summertime, here’s ten currently airing BL dramas to check out.
1. Nour (นูร์)

Cast: Tongtong (Kitsakorn Kanogtorn), Boss (Patthakarn Thanasiriudom), Toey (Pongsakorn Mettarikanon), Phoom (Chawonwat Thongyoo)
What it’s about: If your BL preferences lean darker, this one deserves a top spot on your list. Rookie officer James is investigating a string of mysterious arson attacks that gradually turn out to be a lot less “criminal” and a lot more “supernatural” than anyone expected. His path crosses with the enigmatic Captain Ken, while forensic pathologist Jirat and his assistant Chita work the case from the morgue side of things and end up just as tangled up in each other as James and Ken are.
Why we’re watching: Crime plus supernatural mystery plus BL is already an unusual combination, and Nour is one of the more distinctive premises in the currently airing BL drama Lineup.
2. Weirdo-101 (แรงโน้มถ่วงระหว่างเรา)

Genre: BL, Youth, School Romance

Cast: Sea (Dechchart Tasilp), Keen (Suvijak Piyanopharoj)
What it’s about: Two people who couldn’t be more different slowly figure out what they mean to each other. Niran is a laid back judo athlete who is struggling with finding back his passion; Cheewa is an astronomy obsessed genius from the school’s science club who flirts almost entirely in facts about gravity. It’s a classic school BL setup, but the appeal is really in the contrast & chemistry between the two leads, and how badly Niran struggles to process feelings he didn’t see coming.
Why we’re watching: If you need something lighter after the crime and supernatural mysteries elsewhere on this list, this fills that gap nicely. Also helps that Sea and Keen are just a very delightful pair to watch.
3. Mr. Fanboy (รักสุดใจนายแฟนบอย)
Country: Thailand
Episodes: 12
Genre: BL, Romance, Romantic Comedy, Showbiz

Cast: Save (Worapong Walor), Auau (Thanaphum Sestasittikul), James (Supamongkon Wongwisut)
What it’s about: Wan is a devoted fan of actor Nine, admiring him from a safe distance, at first. Then circumstances land him a role in Nine’s own BL series, putting him directly in his idol’s orbit alongside Third, Nine’s sharp-tongued co-star. Naturally, that’s exactly when the line between “fan” and “genuinely falling for someone” starts to blur, but and not necessarily with the person Wan expected.
Why we’re watching: Celebrity BLs aren’t new, but the fanboy turn idol setup gives this one plenty of room for freshness, drama, comedy, and fandom culture jokes.
4. Oops! Mysterious Sounds (สืบเสียงปริศนา.. อุ๊ย! เสียงหัวใจเธอดังกว่า)

What it’s about: Podduang is stuck watching his best friend, and one sided crush fall for someone else, so he turns to an unlikely ally: his rival, Jinna and requests him to act like they’re dating. It’s not a straightforward fake dating setup for long, though. The two become tangled in a mystery involving their famous mutual friend Anda’s sudden, suspicious death, with a pair of second hand earbuds somehow picking up whispers connected to the case.
Why we’re watching: Enemies-to-lovers, fake relationship, murder mystery, and ghosts, all in one show—that’s more than enough of a pitch to earn a weekly slot.
5. Ash (煙灰)
Country: Hong Kong

Genre: BL, Crime, Romance, Thriller

Cast: Kingston (Yi Xuan), Leo Peng
What it’s about: Based on the danmei novel “Yan Hui” (烟灰) by Feng Nong (风弄), Mo Feihuan is a young undercover police officer whose life becomes increasingly entangled with Xu Luetao, the powerful eldest son of a family with ties to both legitimate business and organized crime. Their relationship is complicated from the start. Feihuan is hiding exactly who he is and as police work, criminal networks, and personal feelings collide, the romance becomes part of a much bigger story about trust and power.
Why we’re watching: If fluffy campus romance isn’t your thing, this is the obvious alternative this month. It is darker, crime-focused, and filmed entirely in Cantonese with a full Hong Kong cast, which is still a rarity for BL.
6. The Last Oath (末誓)

Genre: BL, Horror, Action, Fantasy, Survival

Cast: Chen Liang as Lin Zai · Chen Ming Hao as A Lie
What it’s about: The world has been devastated by a zombie virus, and two corrupt pharmaceutical giants are fighting for control under the guise of “vaccine development.” College student Lin Zai loses his entire family to the outbreak, then discovers he’s immune to zombie bites, making him a target for every faction involved. One of the people sent to hunt him down is A Lie, a special agent. Naturally, their relationship starts with one man hunting the other.
Why we’re watching: Zombie apocalypse BL isn’t exactly a crowded genre, which makes this an easy pick for anyone looking for something different this month.
7. The Missing Piece (请记住我的名字)
Country: China
Episodes: 15
Genre: BL, Romance, Drama
Where to watch: GagaOOLala
Cast: Rao Zi Hao, Hou Ming Xuan
What it’s about: After an accident leaves Shen Mo with amnesia, he mistakes Ji Ming Xuan, the man who saved him for his boyfriend. The two spend six months building a life around that assumption. Then Shen Mo’s memory comes back, but the 6 months with Ming Xuan gets erased in his mind. Desperate not to lose him, Ji Ming Xuan proposes a three-year “contract lover” arrangement instead. But, can a contract actually hold two people together who are already, quietly, in love but have been betrayed by memory and circumstances?
Why we’re watching: For anyone who wants their BL with angst and drama, this is the one to add to the list.
8. You Maniac (เดี๋ยวจะรักซะให้บ้า)

What it’s about: Dean is charming, social, and very comfortable with casual romance; commitment isn’t really his thing. Then his friend Ten asks for a favor: help him win over Pun. Only problem, Pun has feelings for Moth, an indifferent, contradictory artist who isn’t interested in Dean in the slightest. Naturally, Dean takes the rejection personally, and what starts as a favor for a friend turns into a very personal mission.
Why we’re watching: Simple, effective hook: what happens when the professional flirt finally meets someone who isn’t impressed? Also William and Est back together again, enough said!
9. Police in Love (ที่รักสารวัตรเธียร์)

Genre: BL, Romantic Comedy, Contract Marriage

Cast: Yin (Anan Wong), War (Wanarat Ratsameerat)
What it’s about: Inspector Thiartha has famously terrible luck, and his mother’s ultimatum is simple: marry someone, or else. His solution is a fake marriage with his subordinate, Mangkorn for six months, then a clean “divorce.” But contract marriages never go as planned, and as expected living together gives way to a growing bond that is put to the test by exes, colleagues and an ill fated prophecy.
Why we’re watching: Contract marriage, forced cohabitation, a bickering inspector and subordinate dynamic, comedy, romance, drama—this one has it all.
10. Summertime (하절기)

Genre: Korean BL, Youth Romance, Coming-of-Age

Cast: Kim Do Min, Seong In Ho
What it’s about: Yeo Eun Ho and Cha Do Hyeon have grown up together, sharing basically every stage of their lives. For Eun Ho, Do Hyeon has always just been part of the familiar landscape of childhood. But that familiarity starts to shift once feelings that have been sitting quietly underneath the friendship become harder to ignore, especially once a new transfer student throws off the balance between them.
Why we’re watching: Summertime is a quieter, more intimate coming of age story and if that is your thing, go for it.
BONUS — GL: Khom Khlang (ข่มขลัง)
Country: Thailand
Episodes: 10
Genre: GL, Fantasy, Mystery, Supernatural, Romance
Where to watch: WeTV
Cast: Bint (Sireethorn Leearamwattana), Puinun (Warangsiri Thanajarasworaphat)
What it’s about: Police officer Pheem is used to evidence, procedure, and rational explanations. Then she runs into a case that doesn’t play by any of those rules, and it leads her straight to Bulan, a spiritual master whose life is built around traditions of ritual and protective magic. The investigation forces them together, and the attraction that builds on top of it isn’t really optional for either of them.
Why we’re watching: A supernatural mystery built specifically around Thai folklore and sorcery, rather than borrowed tropes, is genuinely one of the fresher premises in GL this year. If you enjoyed Khemjira and Goddess Bless You From Death, don’t miss this one.

BL has genuinely become too broad a category to treat as one genre at this point. the currently airing BL series’ alone jumps from supernatural crime and zombie survival to school romance, celebrity comedy, contract marriage, and psychological drama. That range is exactly why I can’t get enough.
